Dave Harris, long-time Pastor, writer and Editorial Team member of the Church of the Eternal God, died on May 15, 2026, after a short stay in the hospital. He maintained a strong will to live as he was dedicated to his family and his work for the Church—in fact, he packed sermon notes to work on at the hospital! With this same strength and clarity, he decided the prognosis of living with medical support was not what he wanted, and this decision allowed him to secure his crown in faith. Through all of this he was clear that God was in charge. We are looking forward to meeting him again in the first resurrection.
