Consider This…
Brian Gale (United Kingdom) | May 17, 2025
We often do things by rote – that is by repetition – where we don’t have to think about such things which enables us to live our lives more easily. But there are things that we do have to consider and this message reviews a number of those.
The Constitution Under Attack—Comments on News and Prophecy, May 17, 2025
Norbert Link | May 17, 2025
The current administration has applied the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deportations of aliens. Is this law constitutional, and if it is, can it be legally used as a basis for such deportations? The US Supreme Court has had opportunity twice to look into this question, but has sidestepped it.
The current administration is considering suspending habeas corpus. Would this be constitutional? Are the administration’s attacks against lawyers and judges constitutional? Is a recent executive order ending birthright citizenship constitutional? The US Supreme Court heard oral arguments this week on this and related issues. How will they decide—or will they sidestep this important issue as well?
Do these and many more developments in the legal field threaten our liberties and freedoms, as well as our democracy and the US Constitution?
Does the Bible Support Free Speech?
Dave Harris | May 10, 2025
The concept of free speech has been pushed to the limits. People claim the right to say anything, anywhere and at any time, and choosing to only speak the truth may seem irrelevant, but it isn’t to God!
Laodicean
Eric Rank | May 10, 2025
Laodicean” describes a city, a church, an era, and an attitude. What can we learn from the description of the church of Laodicea so that we can make improvements in our lives to please God?
Priorities
Eric Rank | May 3, 2025
What’s important to you? Are your actions consistent with your priorities? It is our responsibility as Christians to continually evaluate our commitment to living a righteous and fulfilling life, placing the highest priority on developing our love for God. When we discover the inevitable shortcomings and waste in our lives, it is an opportunity for us to revise our priorities and adjust our commitments.
What is the Prayer of Faith?
Dave Harris | May 3, 2025
Christians, like Jesus Christ and because of Him, are able to pray with faith. Do we really believe that God hears us?
Sweet Aroma or Foul Odor–Which?
Norbert Link | April 26, 2025
The Bible distinguishes between sacrifices with sweet-smelling aromas and sacrifices with foul odor. When God looks at you, which category would you belong to?
Fall Before Spring
Michael Link | April 26, 2025
What should we do when we experience moments of failure, and what lessons can we learn from the examples of those who have risen from adversity?
Who Are the Two Witnesses?
Norbert Link | April 19, 2025
What does the Bible tell us about the Two Witnesses? Are they Moses and Elijah? Will they possibly be raised from the dead to fulfill their roles as the Two Witnesses? Or are they angels? What about Enoch or John the Baptist? How should we understand the miracles which the Two Witnesses will perform? What will the Two Witnesses preach? When will their resurrection from the dead take place?
The Gift God Really Wants
Kalon Mitchell | April 19, 2025
The offering we will give on this last Day of Unleavened Bread reminds us that God doesn’t desire our performance or possessions, but our humble, surrendered hearts. Our offering today is not just physical—it’s a reflection of a life fully given to Him in sincerity and truth.
Generosity
Eric Rank | April 13, 2025
The Feast of Unleavened Bread is a commanded Holy Day when God instructs His people to appear with an offering. The offering we give reflects our gratitude and love for God. As we give, we should consider what it reveals about our heart. When done well, our act of giving will delight God and bring us joy as well. Giving from the abundance of our heart pleases God tremendously.
The Catastrophe of SIN
Dave Harris | April 13, 2025
We hear warnings about nuclear war in which it is possible to decimate the population of cities, nations and even this planet. Yet, an even more deadly action is sin, because it always incurs the death penalty. How can mankind escape this tragic end!
Do We Really Need to Keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread?
Brian Gale (United Kingdom) | April 12, 2025
The annual festivals pictured events of historic importance to ancient Israel, and today to the true Christian. Recall that when God revealed His weekly Sabbath to the Israelites, it was a sign and a memorial so they would remember that He is the Creator and that they were His people. And God also gave them the annual festivals for His Church showing the plan of God in eventually delivering the entire world from sin.
God’s Rubies
Frank Bruno | April 12, 2025
Rubies as gemstones have been prized by kings and craftsmen for many years. Various Scriptures place value on qualities such as wisdom and integrity above that of these gemstones. As true Christians, we will consider how we can be refined by our faith in the Father and Jesus Christ, as rubies are refined by heat and pressure.
The Promises of God
Kalon Mitchell | April 5, 2025
God always keeps His promises. He doesn’t promise a pain-free journey, but He promises His presence, His hope, and His plan. His promises call us not just to wait for outcomes but to seek Him, to draw near, to call on Him, and to trust that He listens and responds. Even when we feel lost or stuck, He is a God of restoration, bringing us back from every form of captivity. Our seasons of waiting aren’t wasted when they draw us closer to the Promise-Giver Himself.
What Christ’s Blood Achieves
Norbert Link | April 5, 2025
How is the shed blood of Christ fundamentally different from the blood of animal sacrifices in the Old Testament? What was the purpose of animal sacrifices and the blood of the Passover lamb? How was all of this misunderstood by Israel? Can we, by consuming wine as a symbol of Christ’s blood, make the same mistake? This sermon will show that Christ’s shed blood is necessary for our salvation and why it is so precious and priceless.
Trump’s Problems with Immigration and Tariffs — Comments on News and Prophecy, March 29, 2025
Norbert Link | March 29, 2025
In light of most recent developments in the USA, foreign tourists, as well as legal temporary or permanent residents (“Green card holders”), are concerned as never before. Also, why is the application of the Alien Enemies Act (AEA) of 1978 extremely problematic? Will Trump’s tariffs, together with his warnings for American automakers, damage the economy? In other news, we discuss J.D. Vance’s visit to Greenland; the dictatorship of Turkey’s PM Erdogan; Putin’s unacceptable demands; and LA Mayor Bass’s failure to issue building permits to fire victims, contrary to what she has promised.
The Coming False Prophet
Norbert Link | March 29, 2025
The false prophet who will perform lying signs and wonders! Who will be possessed! Who will stand in the temple of God and claim to be God! Who will lead a large religious organization! Who is this person, and with what other name is he designated in the Bible? What organization will he lead, and how is it described in the Bible? What is the abomination of desolation, and what other abominations will there be in Jerusalem?
Victory Over Defeat
Michael Link | March 22, 2025
How can we overcome moments of defeat, as in the examples of those who have failed throughout history only to succeed, as well as individuals in the Bible who experienced failure but then overcame it through faith, leading them to success?
Dokimazo
Kalon Mitchell | March 22, 2025
We are required to examine ourselves before the annual Passover evening. Why is this so important? When we examine ourselves, we do so to look for a positive outcome. God is wanting us to be making positive progress.
