Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

compiled by Dave Harris

A NEW Video Trailer presenting our booklet, “Heavens and Earth…Before and After the First Man!” has been produced by Michael Link.

A new Russian booklet (a translation of, “The Keys to Happy Marriages and Families”) has been posted on the German website. In addition, several new German articles have been posted on the German website.

“Trump’s New Attacks on NATO and Germany… What’s Next?” is the title of a new StandingWatch program, presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

President Trump’s behavior and statements in Brussels towards EU leaders and NATO members have continued a pattern which will lead to terrible consequences for America and the rest of the world. We should not gloss over these events as meaningless, because NATO members, Europeans and especially Germans are getting tired of Trump’s continuing accusations and demands and are determined to respond forcefully.

“Absalom–Missverständnisse über König David (Teil 5),” is the title of this Sabbath’s German sermon. Title in English: “Absalom–Misunderstandings about King David, Part 5.”

Wieso ist der Heilige Geist EIN Geist?” is the title of the German sermon for Pentecost. Title in English: “How is God’s Holy Spirit ONE Spirit?”

Under Satan’s Rule,” the introductory message presented last Sabbath by Norbert Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Terrorist attacks by crazy suicide bombers; the utter deterioration of the relationship between USA and Europe; Europe’s preparation to create a powerful army; violence in the Middle East; ongoing threats from North Korea; apparitions of the “Virgin Mary”; ridiculous laws; complete misrepresentations of the biblical truth; and many other developments show us Satan’s handiwork. The White House is viewed as one the most haunted homes in America, with leading politicians having been involved in séances or communications with ghosts. This is Satan’s world, and he is anxious to bring about the Great Tribulation.

“Tiny Changes,” the sermon presented last week by Kalon Mitchell, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Life is a series of course corrections and changes. It is the tiniest changes that make the most impact. But the problem is that often times these small changes are the hard ones to see.  How can we make sure that the small choices we make daily are making up the large picture that we are striving for?

Pentecost will be observed on Sunday, June 4, 2017. We will conduct live services in both the morning (10:00 AM Pacific Time) and afternoon (3:00 PM Pacific Time).

Ehebruch–Missverständnisse über König David (Teil 4),” is the title of this Sabbath’s new German sermon. Title in English: “Adultery–Misunderstandings about King David, Part 4.”

“Success in Overcoming,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Robb Harris, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Overcoming the sin so prevalent in this world isn’t achieved by simply desiring it. We must continually attune our efforts so they bring the most fruit. If we wish to be successful we must allow scripture to focus our direction–guided by God’s Holy Spirit.

Zeal,” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Eric Rank, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Zeal is about building and nurturing enthusiasm for living by God’s Truth. To become zealous and sustain this essential Christian quality is an important goal to work towards. But how can it be done? What are the benefits of being zealous, and what are the consequences if we are not?

A new Member Letter (May 2017) has been written and mailed to our subscribers. In this letter, Pastor Rene Messier reminds us of God’s promises of help as we face more and more trials. He draws special attention to our need to not become complacent as we anticipate the establishment of God’s Kingdom.

Michael Link has produced a new German video for the German booklet translated from, “Heavens and Earth…Before and After the First Man!” The booklet was just distributed to our German subscribers. He will also be producing an English version very soon.

“Coming—Nuclear War without Survivors?” is the title of a new StandingWatch program, presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

Jesus Christ told us that an unparalleled time of disaster would strike this planet which could eradicate all life on earth. Many feel today that nuclear war is inevitable… that it is not a question of “if,” but of “when,” killing billions of people. The Hill wrote on May 15 that the world may be on the “threshold of a ‘new nuclear age'” where “the likelihood of nuclear use is greatly increasing.” The Bible prophesies worldwide nuclear war. But there IS hope for us!

“FBI Director Comey Fired–Another Trump Debacle,” is the title of a new StandingWatch program, presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

Given the timing, manner and underlying circumstances, as well as the many glaring inconsistencies in the reports from the White House and President Trump, the US President’s controversial termination of FBI director James Comey has been described as a “massive cover-up” and a “perilous moment in American history,” with parallels to “Watergate” and the “Saturday Night Massacre.” The President’s actions opened wide the floodgates of speculation in the liberal and conservative national and international media, portraying the Trump Administration as a laughing stock and a government which cannot be trusted. What does this all mean in the light of biblical prophecy?

“Missverständnisse über König David, Teil 3,” is the title of this Sabbath’s new German sermon. Title in English: “Misunderstandings about King David, Part 3.”

A new German APS program was recorded and posted. It covers God’s 6,000 year-plan, and the new video of our booklet, “Heavens and Earth…Before and After the First Man!”, is embedded. Title in English: “God’s 6,000-Year-Plan.”

“Suppertime,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Eric Rank, is now posted. Here is a summary:

A meal is a common and essential occurrence for everyone, everyday. What does the Bible say about the daily event of eating a meal?

“The Time of the End,” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Dave Harris, is now posted. Here is a summary:

The consummation of the ages is prophesied as being an incomparable time of trouble—a period of great tribulation for all those who dwell on the earth! Do you believe the warnings from God which are written throughout the pages of the Bible? Are you preparing to face what is coming?

Pentecost will be observed on Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

Our monthly Ministerial Meeting via SKYPE was conducted last Sunday morning (May 7, 2017). We focused on needs in Germany as the work continues to grow in that area. Also, we discussed the challenge of more fully responding to requests from Africa.

“Russia’s Persecution of the Jehovah’s Witnesses,” is the title of a new StandingWatch program, presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

New appalling developments are happening in Russia, showing the relentless persecution of religious minorities by the State apparatus in collaboration with the Russian Orthodox Church. Today they are focusing on the Jehovah’s Witnesses, justifying their intolerance with ridiculous and blatantly false “reasons.” Who will be their next targets?

“Russlands Verfolgung der Zeugen Jehovas,” is the German version of the program described above.

“Missverständnisse über König David, Teil 2,” is the title of this Sabbath’s new German sermon. Title in English: “Misunderstandings about King David, Part 2.”

“Great Pain,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Kalon Mitchell, is now posted. Here is a summary:

This life is full of pain. It is something that has been this way for a long time. But will pain and agony last? What will happen in the Kingdom? Will people feel pain like they do today?

“For Life,” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Norbert Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

When we decided to become baptized and live God’s Way, we made a life-long decision. We counted the cost and chose God over everything else. But in time, our first love and enthusiasm might have diminished. Other priorities might have taken hold of us. Sin might have become less serious in our minds, and ongoing repentance might have been looked at as rather unimportant. How dedicated are we today to hold fast until the end?

Pentecost will be observed on Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

“Missverständnisse über König David,” is the title of this Sabbath’s new German sermon. Title in English: “Misunderstandings about King David.” It’s part 1 of a new series on David.

We have posted several pieces of German literature on our German website, www.aufpostenstehen.de , including our new German booklet, “Himmel und Erde… vor und nach dem ersten Menschen” [this booklet is presently being printed]; and Q&A articles containing guidelines as to how to give a sermonette and the first part of our series on how the Church of the Eternal God is different from other organizations. All video-recorded German messages which were given during the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread season were also posted on our German website.

“Milk and Honey,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Michael Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

What does the Bible refer to when describing the Promised Land as a land flowing with milk and honey? Is there a connection between the physical meaning as well as a spiritual significance? What does the future hold for this world and for God’s people, the spiritual Israelites?

“Understanding the Work of God,” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Norbert Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Is there a Work of God today? If so, what is it? Or, has the Work of God ended? Will it ever end? Is there a connection between the Work of God and the creation of man, the building of the tabernacle and the temple, the appearance of Jesus Christ as a Man, the Sabbath and the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom of God? How can you have a part in the Work of God? The Bible gives us astonishing answers and contradicts common beliefs about the Work of God.

We have also posted the recorded English messages which were given during the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread season.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

Norbert and Johanna Link, along with Michael Link, have safely returned this week following observing Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread with members in Germany. Also, Brian and Jill Gale returned last week to England following their visit to Southern California.

We are very pleased to announce the baptism of four people in Germany during the Spring Holy Days.

“When You Think You Stand,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Eric Rank, is now posted. Here is a summary:

It is human nature to believe we are performing well at a job even if we’re not doing so well. What can we do to overcome self-deception about how well we are doing as Christians?

The Genesis of Christianity,” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Robb Harris, is now posted. Here is a summary:

The first book of the Bible sets the pillars for all understanding of God’s Plan. This statement might seem obvious but many that practice Christianity regard hard to explain parts of this book as stories or myths. Some even go so far as to ignore the basic precepts of Genesis in an attempt to make religion comfortable for modern interpretations. We must be extremely careful to not take this foundational book as anything other than the inspired true Word of God.

We are saddened to announce the death of Francine Tibbs on Friday, April 14, 2017. While in the hospital in Denver, Colorado, Francine suffered a massive and fatal heart attack. Throughout all of her struggles, her faith remained strong and she was very thankful to God for the many ways that He continued to help her.

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

Norbert and Johanna Link, along with Michael Link, have traveled this week to meet with members in Germany for the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread. Brian and Jill Gale have stayed in California following the Church Conference, and Mr. Gale will conduct Passover services with the members there.

We are greatly pleased to announce the ordination of Dawn Thompson as deaconess on last Sabbath, April 1, 2017. Dawn is from Rosemead, California.

A new Member Letter (April 2017) has been written and mailed to our subscribers. This is a letter from the entire ministry, and it reviews highlights from our recent Church Conference.

Note that information for observance of the 2017 Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day is now posted on our website.

“Terror Attacks in Jerusalem,” is the title of a new StandingWatch program presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. This program also contains a video clip offering our newest booklet, “The Fall and Rise of the Jewish People.” Here is a summary:

Many are not aware of the fact that terror attacks happen in Israel and Jerusalem on a frequent basis. This fact, in addition to anti-Semitism in the Middle East and Europe, the bringing of animal sacrifices (including the Passover sacrifice) and the building of a Third Temple on the Temple Mount; will lead to prophesied end-time developments of catastrophic proportions.

Brexit and Core Europe—Fulfilled Prophecies,” is the title of a new StandingWatch program presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

March 29 and March 25, 2017, will be viewed as unique historical dates with tremendous significance. In addition, the Brexit and a core Europe have been prophesied in your Bible for thousands of years.

Brexit und Kern-Europa—Erfüllte Prophezeiungen ,” is the title of a new AufPostenStehen program in which Norbert Link presents the same topic as described above in German.

“Goal of Perfection,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Michael Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

To achieve perfection, we must be prepared at all times by doing what God specifically tells us to do. To help us better strive for that perfection, we must have hope, faith, and love towards each other and God’s law. Having the right attitude and the right goal will ultimately bring us closer to perfection.

“How Thankful Are You?” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Norbert Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Are we thankful enough? Do we only show our gratitude when it goes well with us? How can we be thankful in trials? What is a major cause for unthankfulness? Is thankfulness conditional?

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

Note that information for observance of the 2017 Feast of Tabernacles and Last Great Day is now posted on our website.

Passover will be observed after sunset on Sunday evening, April 9, 2017; the Night to be Much Observed after sunset on Monday evening, April 10th; Holy Day services for the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread on Tuesday, April 11th; and Holy Day services for the last day of Unleavened Bread on Monday, April 17th.

The Church Conference for 2017 will be conducted in Escondido, California, with arrivals on March 23rd  and ending on March 28th. Our first session will be on Friday, with subsequent meetings on Sunday and Monday.  We will also have Sabbath services in Ramona, California, during this time.

“Germany and the USA… What Next?” is the title of a new StandingWatch program, presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

The meeting between Angela Merkel and Donald Trump was not great. The two leaders could not have been more contradictory and showed little common ground. They could not disguise the gulf that separates them. What does this mean for the future relationship between the USA and Europe under German leadership? The Bible tells us very clearly what is going to happen… very soon.

“Katholiken und Protestanten… Getrennt oder Vereint? (Teil 1) ,” is the title of this Sabbath’s German sermon. Title in English: “Catholics and Protestants… Divided or United? (Part 1).” Part 2 has also been recorded for the following Sabbath.

“Effects of Entropy,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Kalon Mitchell, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Can evolution be correct in stating that from chaos comes order? That life spawned from mutating cells? Can it be proven that we live in a world that is getting stronger? Or do we see just the opposite, everything decaying? Do we see the plausibility that the destruction of earth is for a reason and that there is indeed a God who created and set in motion the need for the laws that govern our world?

“Is Now the Day of Salvation?” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Norbert Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

We read in 2 Corinthians 6:2 that now is the accepted time and the day of salvation. Does this mean that salvation is offered today to everyone? If so, then most of humanity would be lost. But how can one come to God in a world which is ruled by Satan and his demons? And can the overwhelming majority of mankind even believe in God and His salvation at this time? What does 2 Corinthians 6:2 really mean?

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

The Church Conference for 2017 will be conducted in Escondido, California, with arrivals on March 23 and ending on March 28. Our first session will be on Friday, with subsequent meetings on Sunday and Monday.  We will also have Sabbath services in Ramona, California, during this time.

The Member Letter (March 2017), written by Kalon Mitchell, has been mailed to our subscribers, and it is now posted.

“Catholics and Protestants… Divided or United?” is the title of a new StandingWatch program presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

About 500 years after the Reformation, the Catholic Church and the Protestant denominations or Evangelicals are still divided. But how divided are they really? In this program, we discuss eight major divisions, while showing that Catholics and Protestants are mostly unified in doctrine and practice, which are opposed to and in violation of the Word of God, the Bible.

“Ermordete Propheten in Jerusalem,” is the title of this coming Sabbath’s German sermon. Title in English: “Murdered Prophets in Jerusalem.”

The completed text of the new German booklet, “HIMMEL UND ERDE… vor und nach dem ersten Menschen!”— a translation of the English booklet, “Heavens and Earth… Before and After the First Man!”—is being finalized for printing.

“Separation,” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Eric Rank, is now posted. Here is a summary:

God instructs us to separate ourselves from exposure to a wide variety of things that can cause harm. Separation can serve as a life-saving tool in the life of a Christian when used properly.”

“Why Are There Christians?” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Dave Harris, is now posted. Here is a summary:

Is there a purpose for Christianity in a world so utterly at odds with its teachings? Are Christians failing in the goals which are set before them? Why is it so difficult to clearly understand what it means to be a true Christian? Is it even worth the struggle?

Preaching the Gospel and Feeding the Flock

A new Member Letter (March 2017) has been written by Kalon Mitchell highlighting the Spring Holy Days and encouraging us to draw closer to God through our reliance on Him. This letter will be mailed out to our subscribers very soon.

A Tech Team meeting was conducted last Sunday morning (March 5, 2017). Hosted by Eric Rank, special emphasis was given to improvements for the German website, and discussion topics for the upcoming Church Conference were suggested.

“Europe’s Military Alternatives to America’s Dominance,” is the title of a new StandingWatch program presented by Evangelist Norbert Link. Here is a summary:

The relationship between Europe and the USA is deteriorating. Europe is deeply concerned about President Trump and looks for alternatives in many areas, especially in regard to military alliances. This will lead to terrible consequences.

“Europas militärische Alternativen zu Amerikas Vorherrschaft,” is a new AufPostenStehen program which parallels the program described above, and it is also presented by Evangelist Norbert Link.

“Heuchelei in der Endzeit,” is the title of this Sabbath’s new German sermon. Title in English:  “Hypocrisy in the Endtime.”

“What’s Next in Prophecy–and Why?” the sermonette presented last Sabbath by Norbert Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

“Migrants Face Deportations and Wall in Europe”; “Will EU Nationals Have the right to Stay in the UK after Brexit?”; “German’s foreign intelligence agency spied on foreign journalists”; “media is the enemy of the American people”; “Keystone pipeline and American steel”; ongoing Twitter war… the list could be continued. What is the common denominator of all these and many more news events and reports? And how does God look at this? And what does all of this tell us as to where we are in prophecy… and what will happen next?

“Wrestling Sin,” the sermon presented last Sabbath by Michael Link, is now posted. Here is a summary:

The Bible says that we all sin and at times it can be a constant struggle, as we try to overcome. What can we learn from the examples in the Bible about those who continuously wrestled with sin?

The Church Conference for 2017 will be conducted in Escondido, California, with arrivals on March 23 and ending on March 28.
