The work of the Church of the Eternal God in fulfillment of the commission given by God involves efforts of many people. The product is bearing fruit, and will continue to do so as we follow His direction.

A Christians duties are mentioned many time throughout the Bible.  But one of the earlier leaders of the New Testament church gave four very clear instructions for Christians – an in depth look into how we can achieve the high standards that Peter gave.

Each of us has been given the chance to become part of the Family of God.  We will be priest and rulers in the Kingdom of God, helping Christ transform a society from satanic to Godly.  We mustn’t squander this calling by letting our own will, not the Will of God, cloud our judgment.  It’s His Will that we become first fruits in His Family.

Christians are called to be teachers. Can you teach? Are you mastering the fundamentals of God’s government in order to explain to others? Does the Bible show you how and what you should teach?

When we are initially called into the family of God, we only understand a small amount of God’s plan. Over time, this understanding grows if we are faithful to work at it. The plans that we make for how we will achieve the goal of eternal life must be designed to apply understanding that we will only have in the future. A Christian life is truly a journey by faith!

The Kingdom of God will replace the ways of man with the perfect rule of God. Who will be involved? How will authority be organized? How will the perfect government of God be different than the governments of man? The truth revealed in the Bible is awesome.

Jerusalem will be restored and become the center of God’s government for the entire earth. Much is revealed about this future time in the Word of God, and we have been given enough details to envision this remarkable future.

As we begin another festival season it’s imperative not to waste the opportunity for personal spiritual growth.  We are commanded to appear before God because He knows the importance these holy days have for our future roles in His Kingdom.  We are here to prepare for a job and we must be willing to submit to God’s Will and be used by Him.

We have come to the place where God has placed His name. In doing so, we join those who anticipated greater things, and we—like they—seek the Kingdom of God.

Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:17 to “take the helmet of salvation.” What else are we to “take” from God, and what is the connection with the helmet of salvation? Why are we reading about the cup of salvation; the shield of salvation; and the garments of salvation? The Bible speaks also about the helmet of the hope of salvation. What exactly is this hope? What exactly is salvation? And what is the only way to obtain salvation?

America’s new war in Iraq and Syria does not seem to have any chance of success. Statements in numerous papers allege that “Obama leaves behind a world of chaos”; that America “will be at war for generations to come”; that the “military campaign against ISIS will fail, possibly with disastrous consequences”; and that “the West is irrevocably set on another bloody adventure in the Middle East.” How should a true Christian view this situation? Is there ever justification for us to fight in war? We are quoting extensively from Herbert W. Armstrong’s writings on military service and war and from our free booklet, “Should You Fight in War?” We point out that historically, true Christians have steadfastly refused to fight in war—but that many nominal Christians compromised in the face of political propaganda and persecution.

The Feast of Trumpets symbolizes the return of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the righteous to eternal life. The book of Revelation contains seven messages to seven congregations of the Church of God. What relationship exists between the last four of those seven messages and Christ’s return? What does the Bible say about the time of Christ’s return? Is that time already fixed? Why does Christ say that even He does not know the exact time?  Is the time of His coming conditioned upon certain events which have to take place first? What does it mean that the time of Christ’s return is solely within the authority of the Father?

God has established Holy Days which lay out in great detail the plan of salvation which He is offering to mankind.  There is tremendous, unquestionable PROOF of God’s role in human history, and the Holy Days give witness to this fact!

Once we acknowledge our meek human existance, we may wonder how valuable we are to God.  However, according to His plan, He needs leaders to help Him rule His soon coming Kingdom.  Those who are called to that duty are very valuable, indeed.

We all face trials and must stay resolute in relying of God to guide us through them.  Paul faced many trials, including very difficult physical ones and he stayed the course in his focus towards God.  We must do the same, especially in the festival season.

Ephesians 6:15 tells us that we must have our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. What exactly does this mean? What about our feet; our preparation or readiness; and the gospel of peace? What is that gospel? Paul warns us not to accept a different gospel, another Jesus, or a different spirit. He also shows us that the belief in the true gospel is absolutely necessary for salvation; and that we ourselves must have peace if we want to stand up for the gospel of peace.

Are we struggeling with trials and weaknesses? Are there reasons for them? The Bible reveals examples of individuals who struggled with weaknesses and trials and how they were able to overcome them.
