While it is easy to talk about being a Christian, and it’s easy to talk about what needs to be done, the real work is in the actions of being a Christian. What are we doing to ensure that we Walk the Talk? 

God has given us instructions to remove deceit from our lives reminding us that that is a characteristic of Satan. Jesus Christ praised Nathanael for being without deceit and the one hundred and forty four thousand in the book of Revelation are also described as being without deceit. Only those without deceit cn be trusted to live God’s way forever.

The Bible tells us that we can ONLY be saved through Jesus Christ; that there is no salvation in any other. This means that we CANNOT be saved through any other means or name or religion. But in order to be saved, we must believe and follow the true Jesus Christ of the Bible. A belief in a false Jesus will not save us. What does this mean exactly? What must we believe, and what must we reject?

Are preachers chosen by God, or can just anyone—man, woman or child—decide on their own to preach? Do preachers have a specific message to proclaim, and does God give extra power to His preachers? Also, will those who preach be held accountable for what they teach? Do Christians really need preachers?

Even when facing opposition, we can be confident that God’s work is worth doing. In the story of Nehemiah, the Jews rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem facing ridicule and adversity. Through their perseverance, dedication, and unwavering focus, they succeeded. What can we learn from their example that can help us succeed in our endeavors?

If there are so many people in the world who are doing good things to help their communities demonstrating love for one another, could God really be angry enough to unleash His wrath upon the Earth as a punishment? What is it that makes God angry, and what can we do to appeal to His mercy as the Day of the Lord approaches?

Nearly everywhere we turn these days we see people claiming to be offended by colleagues, school mates, family, friends and even the brethren. Despite the ease of taking offense, true Christians understand the need to rely on God for the strength to turn the other cheek and avoid escalation. In this Sermonette we will consider various scriptures and examples of what true Christians must do in order to obey God and not the world.

We can survive physically through God’s perfect creation of the earth within the atmosphere mankind lives in. The atmosphere at this year’s Feast of Tabernacles was everything that this current world is not. It was positive with joy, peace, and spiritual food to prepare us for what the future holds. The atmosphere of this world is deteriorating more and more and we must remain vigilant spiritually as we fight against the god of this world. How can we succeed?

If you can understand biblical Truth today, then God has called you and given you the opportunity to attain eternal salvation. Did God make a mistake? Don’t you know what to do with your calling… what God requires of you? If God has a plan for you, what is that plan? Are you expecting too much from God… or too little?

In Proverbs 4:26 is a great admonition for all of us: “Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.”  It is a good exercise to review what we do and whether we do have one foot in the world in one way or another.

Satan can sow discord and destroy relationships by lying and spreading rumors. Lies, accusations and spreading rumors are a form of bearing false witness. Such actions violate the commandment to love our neighbor and are tools Satan uses to divide and destroy relationships. Is he a friend?

Praying is how we maintain a connection with God. This sermon outlines some of the important aspects of prayer.  It will also give points on what our prayers can do.

This sermon discusses identifying our spiritual enemies which is a far more serious situation – a matter of life and death – than the temporary problems of this life which can be distressing, but are only for a short while.   Enemies that interfere with our spiritual life can have future eternal consequences and these are identified and discussed

God has an awesome plan in effect today, which gives us something to be joyful about. Even if we have other events that might cause us to be sad, such as the conclusion of the Fall Holy Days for the year, we have a source of joy that is strong enough to overcome the sadness. With that joyful spirit we make our offerings to God.

Jesus proclaimed a message of salvation on the eighth day of the Feast–which we have come to call “the Last Great Day.” What Jesus did and what He spoke about gives meaning to this last Annual Holy Day of God.

In our world today the crime of identity theft and worse has become a near constant threat to deal with. From credit card scams now being a daily component of email, and on-line purchases, to the theft of one’s identity, life can be an all-consuming race to protect our financial well-being and reputations. However, as a true Christian one never need worry about losing our singular identity in the eyes of our Creator—our Father in Heaven. In this Split-Sermon we will cover scriptures that show us how we can rely on God for the spiritual and physical protection of our unique being that He created.

Maintaining a vision of our future in the Kingdom of God helps us endure the challenges that we face in life. Knowing that we are children of God destined to glory gives us something to hope for, fueling our inspiration and motivation to overcome sin and draw close to God in obedience.

Through His ministers and messages, God deepens the knowledge for which He has opened our minds. We can evaluate our situation and must then apply what we have understood. This happens in sometimes lengthy processes, but God shapes our character and guides us in our lives if we allow His Holy Spirit to lead us. HIS plan will be fulfilled, and it is our task, within our lives as Christians, to have a part in this fulfillment.
