One of the greatest desires that men and women have is the desire for power, position and influence. This message looks at good and bad examples and asks each time what the motivation is – is it to serve or be served and what the fruits are.
But Let A Man Examine Himself…
Norbert Link | February 27, 2010
On March 28, 2010, after sunset, truly converted, baptized and Spirit-begotten members of the Church of God will partake of the Passover. The Apostle Paul admonishes us to examine ourselves so that we can and will eat of the bread and drink of the wine in a worthy manner. How are we to examine our lives, and how are we to recognize whether we live worthy or unworthy of God, our calling or the gospel?
The Seed
Eric Rank | February 20, 2010
The gift of the Holy Spirit is a seed planted within the lives of God’s called people. To foster the growth of that seed to fulfill its’ potential, we need to be diligent to have the proper attitude, work with it diligently, and acknowledge the responsibility to profit with it. By proving that we can live our lives, growing spiritually with the gift within us, we can rest assured to bear fruit worthy of righteousness.

Scandals and Problems in Europe
Norbert Link | February 13, 2010
Germany’s Catholic sexual abuse scandal is widening. Close to 100 priests and members of the laity have been suspected of abuse in recent years. However, the Catholic church has tried to ignore or downplay the abuse. At the same time, the euro is coming under attack, and its very survival is questioned. What does this all mean in the light of biblical prophecy?
Prepare for Passover
Norbert Link | February 6, 2010
Baptized members of God’s Church are commanded to partake annually of the Passover, but they are cautioned not to do so in an unworthy manner. They must first examine themselves very carefully and in a brutally honest way. This message gives several areas for individual evaluation.
Honor Your Father and Mother
Norbert Link | February 6, 2010
Why is the commandment to honor our parents so important in God’s eyes? What are the consequences for us and others when we don’t keep this commandment? Would God really utterly destroy this earth if family relationships were not restored at least to some degree?
Chances
Robb Harris | January 30, 2010
Is our calling by God just a random chance or does God have something more in store for us? Do we take advantage of the opportunities we have been given? We must seek God’s Will on a daily basis in order to achieve the great chance at redemption given to His followers.
So Run
Dave Harris | January 30, 2010
Paul uses the example of running a race to explain how we, as Christians, should diligently seek the goal set before us. The question is, are we just going along for the ride, or are we willing to seek the prize–doing whatever it takes to win?
Mercy
Norbert Link | January 23, 2010
What is mercy? Why is it important to God? How are we to show mercy? Did Jesus, as a Man, have to learn how to show mercy? Why is He today our merciful High Priest? How can we become merciful or full of mercy, as our Father in Heaven is merciful? Why does God say that some will be judged without mercy?

Glory
Eric Rank | December 26, 2009
Glory, as the Bible defines it, describes a state of perfect spiritual existence as well as an act of praise towards another. The Bible also provides us with specific instructions about how glorification works and to whom it must be directed. By participating in glorifying God with our behavior, we qualify to be glorified in a state of spiritual perfection as well, thereby achieving an important goal in God’s plan.

Those Who are Called
Dave Harris | December 5, 2009
The Bible tells the story of people whom God has called. One
remarkable account is that of Jeremiah, but his is not the only extraordinary
record of God’s calling. Among others are those in the Church of God–people who
have been called to become the first fruits of salvation. There is much said to
“those who are called”–instructions from God to assure that we each fulfill our
calling.
How to Play
Eric Rank | December 5, 2009
As we work to accomplish our goals in life, we can treat our activity in
different ways. We can do things as a means to an end or we can do things as an
end in themselves. However, each of those approaches alone is problematic if we
desire to live a life that is pleasing to God. A third, and better way to treat
our activities is in perspective, knowing that it is important to keep the end
goal in mind, but also that the means by which we work is how we will be judged.
